A couple of weeks ago, Atopink contacted me asking if I wanted to be a part of the reviewer program for their new products. This was my first time ever being offered a complimentary product to review so of course I accepted! I was given the choice between this lotion and a gel for severely dry skin. I decided to choose the lotion because my skin is only moderately dry in certain areas.

This lotion claims to be for dry and sensitive skin and can be used as an all-over moisturizer for the face as well as the body. Apparently it is mild enough even for a baby's skin (not that I'll ever know).

Overall, I do like this lotion very much. Ever since I received it about a week ago I've been using it to moisturize my face and legs, which have become quite dry during these winter months. As you can see in the pictures, it is a watery, gel-like moisturizer which is my preference for moisturizers since they absorb nice and quickly without feeling greasy. The moisturizer is so thin that it drips out if you just hold it vertically.

Orange and grapefruit peel oil give this lotion a pleasant, fresh citrus scent. It's very light and doesn't linger so even if you don't like citrus-y scents it shouldn't be a big problem.

So far the moisturizer hasn't caused any breakouts so it's passed the sensitive skin test. In fact I've noticed that my oiliness has been reduced, maybe because it's such a lightweight formula rather than a cream like my previous moisturizer. For my stubborn dry patches around my chin I've found that I had to reapply the moisturizer once it absorbed.

I'd say the moisturizer lasts about a total of 8-10 hours. I apply it on my legs before I sleep, and when I wake up I notice that my skin is a bit dry again.

While it is a good lotion, I'm not sure if I would consider it the best one, and I don't think I would repurchase it since I can get a cheaper one from the drugstore.

Some long-term claims from their website:
  • Promotes skin's firmness
  • Helps to achieve smoother, softer skin; fewer dry patches and dead skin cells when used regularly
Hopefully I will see some of these results after continuous use!

The lotion retails for $32.00 and can be purchased on their website (linked at the beginning) and on Amazon.
